Further COVID-19 Follow Up

June 23, 2020

Wow, it seems like forever ago we said "At this time, we are projecting re-opening during the first week of April. However, we continue to assess the situation daily and that date may change"

Clearly, that didn't happen, but we did want to put out a statement about where we are, when we plan to reopen, and what we've been doing for that past 3 months

As Toronto joins the rest of Ontario in entering stage 2 of the provincial reopening, the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act of Ontario still does not allow gatherings above 10 people, so we simply can't be open yet

When Toronto enters stage 3, and the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act is lifted, that's when we will open our doors again, and welcome back the friends we've missed for the past three months

Unrelated to COVID-19, stay tuned for a HUGE announcment from us regarding the club :)

COVID-19 Follow Up

March 20, 2020

Effectively immediately, TPTS/Leaside Poker is temporarily closed

For the past few days, while recognizing that the liklehood of anyone getting sick at the club with all the measures we put in place remained exceptionally low, we wanted to give players something to take their minds off the current state of affairs in the world

That said, we hold a larger responsibilty to society - as so many indivduals and businesses do - to do the right thing and fully embrace the idea that everyone has to make sacrifices to ensure that the current pandemic spreads as little as possible

At this time, we are projecting re-opening during the first week of April. However, we continue to assess the situation daily and that date may change

The good news, is that this WILL come to an end. When it does, we'll be back to providing a great place to play the game we all love

Friendships will continue. Laughs will be had. Unfortunatley, bad river cards will never go away

We will continue to answer your texts and phone calls while we're closed, and will keep you in the loop as to when we will reopen

But for now, we wish all of our players and their families a safe end to this global problem, and look forward to reconnecting with so many amazing people when it's safe, and responsible, to do so

-Peter & Sandro (and the entire amazing team @ TPTS/Leaside Poker Club)

COVID-19 Update

March 12, 2020

TPTS/Leaside Poker wants to update you on our position related to the COVID-19 outbreak

First, we want everyone to know that we recognize the close proximity nature of the game, as well as the number of shared elements (cards, chips, cash, etc)

That said, we will remain open daily unless a need to close arises

In order to ensure that players have the best possible experience, we have implemented the following procedures:

1) We have, and will continue to, clean and sanitize the club from top to bottom. This includes every surface of the club, the chips, surfaces, door handles etc, and we have replaced all the cards with new decks

2) The fresh snacks you’re used to will not be available for the foreseeable future, and will be replaced with various individually wrapped items

3) Prior to entering the club, all players will be required to use the hand sanitizer we have on site

4) Players exhibiting atypical symptoms - cough, fever, sore throat - will not be allowed to play. We understand feeling a little under the weather may fall into this category; but given the circumstances, we ask that you come back to play at a time when you are not symptomatic for the comfort and safety of all players

5) Additional hand sanitizer will also be available at all times

While the risk of transmission remains exceptionally low, we want to make sure we’re doing our best to mitigate the risk to our loyal player base

We appreciate your understanding, and look forward to continuing to provide you the same level of service you’ve come to expect from us

Should anyone have any questions about our policies and procedures, please bring them to our attention and we would be happy to address them
